Book Reviews

Quinn's book review:

"On The Moon"

They go off in a rocket ship.  Then they go in a moon buggy.  They collect some moon rocks.  They put a flag on the moon.  Then they rocket off in a spaceship to get back home.
I liked them rocketing off on the ship.  I liked the pictures.  They showed me where the moon is.  I would like to read the book again sometime.

Egen's book review:

Fablehaven Series

Two kids are going to their grandparents house.  Their names are Kendra and Seth and they are siblings.  They find out that the land surrounding the house is magical and it's called Fablehaven.  Fablehaven is a magical preserve that has demons, brownies, fairies, satyrs, centaurs, wraiths, giants, golems, zombies, and many more.
In the first book, Kendra and Seth have to free a witch to turn their grandma from a chicken into a human again.  Then the witch tries to unleash a demon from his prison and they have to stop and capture her again.
In the second book, the Society of the Evening Star, which is trying to free all the demons, gets stronger.  Kendra and Seth have to stop a Narcoblitz from helping the society take over Fablehaven and also stop her from taking over their minds.
In the third book, a dragon starts a shadow plague, turning light creatures into dark creatures.  Kendra and Seth have to stop the shadow plague from turning all light creatures into dark creatures.
In the fourth book, Kendra, Seth, and the Knights of the Dawn, who are people trying to stop the Society of the Evening Star, go to Worm Roost.  It is a dragon sanctuary.  They try to get a key to a vault that has an artifact in it that they need to keep away from the Society.
In the fifth and final book, Kendra and Seth have to stop the Society from opening the main demon prison.  When they fail to stop the Society only one choice remains, to attack the demons in the demon prison.
I loved these books.  I liked it in the fifth book when Kendra and Seth took out the demons with some Astrids (giants with golden wings).  It was both exciting and a little tiny, tiny bit boring.  When Seth's two Satyr friends made a joke about it being fun when they were dying, that was funny.  It was also funny when they said they were going to smile at the demons.
